HIKMICRO Thermal Monoculars Australia
Needs first. A HIKMICRO thermal monocular is how you find the animal — not a rifle scope waved around the paddock. Hunt The Night always spots with a handheld first, then engages with the scoped firearm once you are on quarry. Lock lens class from the hunt: around ~150 m the Need is ~35 mm (Lynx 3.0 LH35 / Condor CQ35 / Falcon FQ35 2.0); past that — foxes at 250 m and longer ID work — lock ~50 mm first (Falcon FQ50L 2.0 / Falcon FQ50 2.0 / Condor CQ50L 2.0). Sensor resolution (384 vs 640) mainly adds field of view and detail across the scene; the objective drives detection distance. We fit HIKMICRO spotters by quarry and distance, not a price ladder.
Considerations. Built-in LRF (Condor “L” / Falcon FQ50L), pocket Lynx vs full-size Falcon or Condor, 2.0 vs earlier body, battery, Wi-Fi and weight sit in the second column. They do not paper over the wrong lens. Condor vs Falcon is platform after millimetres — ranging-first versus image-first — in Condor vs Falcon. Pocket versus full-size lives in Falcon vs Lynx. Condor millimetres sit in the Condor CQ35 Australia buyer guide. Whole-brand fit is the HIKMICRO Australia Needs hub. Spotter workflow is Thermal Monocular Australia: start with a spotter. Once the handheld Need is locked, move to the matching scope class on HIKMICRO thermal scopes.
Hunt The Night is an authorised Australian HIKMICRO dealer. Every Lynx, Falcon and Condor on this shelf is genuine Australian stock with local warranty and Melbourne-based pre-sale advice. We fit HIKMICRO handhelds the same way we fit every thermal: quarry, distance, role.

Why a monocular first
Do not sweep the paddock with a scoped firearm to find heat. A handheld lets you glass quarry, distance and background safely, then you mount up only when you are ready to shoot. That workflow is non-negotiable at Hunt The Night — every Stellar, Panther, NEOS or Alpex recommendation assumes you already own, or are buying, a spotter. This collection is that HIKMICRO spotter shelf. All-brand handhelds sit on Thermal Monoculars Australia.
~35 mm — closer country ~150 m
When the hunt lives inside ~150 m — rabbits, foxes in scrub, timber edges, tight paddocks — lock ~35 mm. Lynx 3.0 LH35 is the current compact 35 mm scanner; Lynx LQ35 3.0 keeps those millimetres and steps to 640 for FOV and detail, not extra reach. Falcon FQ35 2.0 is the full-size 35 mm / 640 all-rounder when you want Falcon’s image path without ranging. Condor CQ35L 2.0 and gen-1 Condor LRF CQ35 stay in the same 35 mm Need; Condor CH35L is the 35 mm / 384 ranging path. Do not stretch a 35 mm HIKMICRO to open-country ID past ~150 m — foxes at 250 m are a 50 mm Need.
~50 mm — open country / foxes at 250 m
When you need to identify past ~150 m — foxes on open paddocks, longer feral glassing — lock ~50 mm first. Falcon FQ50L 2.0 is the 50 mm / 640 Falcon with LRF on the body; Falcon FQ50 2.0 is the same lens class without the laser. Condor CQ50L 2.0 is the Condor we fit to that open-country Need when ranging is how you hunt; gen-1 Condor LRF CQ50 is the earlier 50 mm / 640 body, same millimetres. LRF, 2.0 display and battery format are Considerations after the objective is locked. Sensor class (384 vs 640) adds FOV and detail, not magic metres — the 50 mm glass does the distance work.
Condor LRF — Consideration after the lens lock
Condor exists because the laser is in the handheld. That is a platform Consideration, not a reason to pick 35 mm over 50 mm. The LRF will not turn a CQ35 into a 250 m fox optic. Lock millimetres first, then decide whether built-in ranging is how you hunt. Current 35 mm: CQ35L 2.0 or the money gen-1 CQ35. Current 50 mm: CQ50L 2.0. CH35L keeps ranging on 35 mm / 384; CH25L is the closer 25 mm Condor. Compact ranging on a Lynx body is Lynx LQ35L 3.0 — still a 35 mm Need. SKU mapping: CQ35 buyer guide.
Lynx — pocket / pack scanners
If the role Need is “always in the pocket,” stay compact after the distance is honest. Lynx 3.0 LH35 is the 35 mm pocket scanner for closer country; Lynx 3.0 LH25 / LH25 2.0 and Lynx 3.0 LH19 / LH19 2.0 step shorter still. Lynx LH15 2.0 and Lynx 3.0 LE15 are walk-around pack scanners for genuinely close work — not a substitute for a 50 mm Falcon or Condor when open country is the Need. Prefer current 3.0 Lynx handles where they are on the shelf. Falcon vs Lynx is size and role, not a price step — Falcon vs Lynx.
Which HIKMICRO monocular fits the hunt?
| If you want… | Look at | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Find the animal first (every hunt) | Any handheld on this shelf | spotter first — do not wave the scoped firearm |
| Closer pest work ~150 m | Lynx 3.0 LH35 / Falcon FQ35 2.0 / CQ35L 2.0 | ~35 mm lens; LRF is a Consideration |
| Foxes at 250 m, open paddock | Falcon FQ50L 2.0 / Falcon FQ50 2.0 / Condor CQ50L 2.0 | ~50 mm — lens first, then LRF / body |

HIKMICRO thermal monoculars Australia — FAQ
Do I need a monocular if I already have a HIKMICRO thermal scope?
Yes. Hunt The Night always spots with a handheld first. Do not sweep the paddock with a scoped firearm. Lynx, Falcon or Condor finds the animal; Stellar, Panther, NEOS or Alpex takes the shot once you are on it.
35 mm or 50 mm?
Needs first: distance. Around ~150 m, ~35 mm (Lynx LH35 / Condor CQ35 / Falcon FQ35). Foxes at 250 m and other ID work past ~150 m, ~50 mm (Falcon FQ50 / FQ50L, Condor CQ50L). Sensor class adds FOV and detail, not raw reach. The lens does the distance work.
Condor or Falcon?
Same millimetres first, then platform. Condor if built-in ranging is how you hunt. Falcon 2.0 if you want the image-first 640 path (LRF only on FQ50L). Do not pick Condor to stretch a 35 mm into 250 m fox country. Detail: Condor vs Falcon.
Lynx or Falcon?
Role after distance. Lynx is the pocket/pack scanner when you will actually carry it every night. Falcon is the full-size 640 all-rounder. A Lynx 15–25 mm does not cover a 50 mm open-country Need. Detail: Falcon vs Lynx.
Is Hunt The Night a HIKMICRO thermal monocular dealer in Australia?
Yes. Genuine Australian HIKMICRO stock, local warranty, Melbourne advice. Live pricing is on each product page. We do not group this range by under-$X tiers. Buy the spotter by quarry, distance and role.
