What is the best night vision scope in Australia?

Can I use a digital night vision scope in the daytime?

How far can a night vision scope see at night?

It depends on the lens (a 70mm pulls in more light than a 40–50mm), the sensor and your IR torch. A bigger lens and a stronger IR let you identify animals further out. In total darkness you'll need an IR torch, because digital night vision still needs some light to make a picture.

Do I need an infrared (IR) illuminator?

Digital night vision needs a little ambient light or IR to produce an image. Several models include an IR illuminator; others take an add-on IR torch. In near or total darkness, an IR illuminator is what lets the scope "see" — so match the IR torch to your scope and how far you shoot.

850nm or 940nm IR — which should I choose?

850nm IR gives a brighter image and longer effective range but leaves a faint red glow if looked at directly. 940nm IR is fully invisible to game (maximum stealth) but is dimmer and reaches roughly 30–40% less distance. Choose 850nm for reach, 940nm for stealth.
