Real thermal footage of warthogs, shown in each palette. Palettes only change the colours; the heat data is the same.

- Magnification
- What you can tell
The view starts at this unit's own magnification. The further away the animal, and the wider the field of view, the less detail the sensor picks up, until you can tell something warm is there but not what it is. Zooming in makes it bigger, not sharper.
- Magnification
- Sharpness
Digital zoom crops the sensor image and enlarges what is left. It adds no detail, so each step makes the picture bigger but softer.
Example image only. Not filmed through this product. Pig and deer stills supplied by HIKMICRO and Nocpix; fox and rabbit are thermal-style images we made from photos by A. Omer Karamollaoglu (CC BY 2.0) and Alexis Lours (CC BY 4.0). Field of view and zoom are simulated from this unit's 640×512 sensor and 50 mm lens, 2.7× base magnification and 1920×1080 screen. Real results change with weather, display and settings.

HIKMICRO Condor CQ50L 2.0 Thermal Monocular: Top-Tier Long-Range Spotting with LRF
The HIKMICRO Condor CQ50L 2.0 is the top-tier compact thermal monocular with a laser rangefinder, which HIKMICRO describes as delivering "the ultimate performance". A 640×512 sensor behind a 50 mm F0.9 lens, a 2.7× base magnification and a 2,600 m detection range give a significant advantage across all kinds of country. For identifying animals at long range in open Australian country, from foxes on far fence lines to pigs and deer at the edge of the timber, it combines reach, detail and an instant range in a 537 g handheld.
Ultra-Sensitive Thermal Imaging: 15 mK Presents the Finest Details
The CQ50L 2.0 uses HIKMICRO's more sensitive detector, rated under 15 mK, which captures the smallest temperature differences. Paired with the fast F0.9 lens, it shows rich, natural detail, even at long range.
HSIS Shutterless: No Freezing, Always Clear
The HIKMICRO Shutterless Image System removes the calibration countdown entirely, so the view never freezes mid-scan. Image Pro 2.0 optimises colour and detail, and Zoom Pro holds clarity at higher magnification, out to 21.6×.
Precise LRF Module Accurately Measures the Distance
The integrated rangefinder reads out to 1,000 m to ±1 m, with HIKMICRO's option to show horizontal distance as well as straight-line distance. Everything is shown on a 0.49-inch 1920×1080 OLED, which HIKMICRO says is 25% more immersive, with sub-round or square view modes.
One-Hand Operation Meets Ergonomic Design
A fingertip rear focus wheel, silent glove-friendly buttons and a soft rubber housing make the CQ50L 2.0 easy to run one-handed in the dark. A replaceable 21700 battery runs 6.5 h+, with 64 GB storage, a Wi-Fi hotspot and IP67 sealing.
