Needs first. A HIKMICRO thermal rifle scope is for the shot after you have already found the animal — not the scanner you wave around the paddock. Start with a Condor, Lynx or Falcon monocular so you can glass quarry, distance and background safely. Then choose the scope that fits the hunt: quarry, typical shot distance and role. We do not lead with a price ladder or “Australia’s biggest Stellar range.”

Considerations. Lock the objective lens to the distances you actually shoot. Close pest work around ~150 m is a ~35 mm class (NEOS NH35L / Stellar SH35 / SQ35); past that — foxes at 250 m and longer feral shots — step to 50 mm+ (Stellar SQ50L / SH50 / SX60LS). Sensor resolution is field of view, not reach: a 384 on the same lens is narrower and more magnified; a 640 widens the scene. Tube vs clip-on, LRF and battery come after the lens and the monocular-first workflow. Read the Stellar SQ50L Needs guide, the HIKMICRO Australia Needs hub, and why we start with a spotter. Money units: Stellar SQ50L, Stellar SH35L, NEOS NH35L, Thunder TQ50CL. Parent hub: HIKMICRO Australia.

Hunt The Night is an authorised Australian HIKMICRO dealer. Every scope here is genuine Australian stock with full manufacturer warranty and Melbourne-based pre-sale advice. This page is the riflescope lane — Stellar, NEOS and Thunder — fitted by hunt, not by catalogue.

                        HIKMICRO thermal scope ranges

Stellar 3.0 — core hunting thermal scopes

HIKMICRO’s core hunting line and the scopes most serious shooters land on. SH models run a 384×288 sensor; SQ steps to 640×512 for wider FOV on the same lens class; SX60LS tops the line at 1280×1024 / 60 mm / 50Hz. “L” models add a built-in laser rangefinder and ballistic calculation. Match lens first: ~35 mm up to ~150 m; 50 mm+ past that. In stock: Stellar SH35 3.0, SH35L 3.0 LRF, SH50 3.0 LRF, SQ35L 3.0 LRF, SQ50L 3.0 LRF, SX60LS 50Hz LRF. → Stellar SQ50L

                        NEOS — first thermal / closer-country scopes

The value entry into a genuine HIKMICRO sensor for shooters moving up from torch-and-day-scope setups. Ideal when most shots sit inside ~150 m and you want a smaller objective without a no-name core. In stock: NEOS NE25, NH25L (LRF), NH35L (LRF). → NEOS NH35L

                        Thunder — thermal clip-ons

Keep your day scope and your zero. Thunder mounts in front of existing glass so the rifle stays a day gun until you clip on thermal — ideal when you already trust your day optic. Lens class still applies to the clip-on. Money unit: Thunder TQ50CL 3.0 LRF.

How do I choose a HIKMICRO thermal scope?

Needs first: quarry and typical shot distance set the lens (~150 m → ~35 mm; 50 mm+ past that; foxes at 250 m → 50 mm). Then Considerations — sensor for field of view, LRF, tube vs Thunder clip-on. Start with a handheld monocular. Full map: HIKMICRO Australia Needs hub.

For most open-country fox and feral work past ~150 m, the Stellar SQ50L is the money 50 mm LRF scope we fit. Closer country often lands on SH35L or NEOS NH35L. Read the SQ50L Needs guide.

Do I need a monocular as well as a thermal scope?

Yes — Hunt The Night always recommends a thermal monocular first. Spot with a handheld, then engage with the scoped firearm. See thermal monocular Australia — start with a spotter.
