Product Description
Discover Talley Manufacturing's American-made Savage Picatinny Rails for AccuTrigger models. Crafted from lightweight 7000 series aluminum alloy, these rails are CNC machined to perfection, ensuring precision and durability. With a hard-coat anodizing reaching 65 Rockwell, they promise a lifetime of service for your firearm.
Designed to MIL-STD-1913 Pic Rail specifications, our Picatinny Rails provide a secure platform for optics mounts, including Talley Picatinny scope mounts. Available exclusively in long action/0 and 20MOA, each rail comes with mounting screws and a T-15 wrench for easy installation.
Unsure about compatibility with your Savage Centerfire Rifle? Our guide helps you identify the right base and screw size. Savage AccuTrigger rifle actions may feature either 6-48 or 8-40 screws, with newer rifles often using 8-40 screws. Models like Savage Ultralight and Timberline centerfire rifles specifically require 8-40 screws.
Determining your rifle's screw hole size is easy:
- Measure screws with calipers: #6-48 screws are around 0.138", while #8-40 screws measure about 0.164".
- Test hex wrench fit: A 1/8" hex wrench fits #8-40 screw holes; if it doesn't, it's likely a #6-48 screw hole.
- Check the model list for rifles using 8-40 screws.
Trust Talley Manufacturing for precision, durability, and compatibility in every Picatinny Rail for your Savage AccuTrigger model.

Torque Recommendations?
- Savage Picatinny Rail to Action: Torque can depend on the receiver. Please check with the rifle manufacturer (Savage) to verify the allowable torque into the receiver. Always make sure your torque wrench is calibrated, Talley Mfg is not responsible for damage caused to scopes or firearms due to over-torquing
Should I use Loctite when mounting my Savage Picatinny Rail?
- Although not always necessary, using Loctite for the screws going in the receiver is perfectly fine. We do not recommend using anything stronger than Loctite Blue 242. We do not recommend using Loctite on the ring screws. Always test fit before applying any Loctite.
