Roll over to zoom
Real thermal footage of warthogs, shown in each palette. Palettes only change the colours; the heat data is the same.

- What you can tell
The view starts at this unit's own magnification. The further away the animal, and the wider the field of view, the less detail the sensor picks up, until you can tell something warm is there but not what it is. Zooming in makes it bigger, not sharper.

- Sharpness
Digital zoom crops the sensor image and enlarges what is left. It adds no detail, so each step makes the picture bigger but softer.
Example image only. Not filmed through this product. Pig and deer stills supplied by HIKMICRO and Nocpix; fox and rabbit are thermal-style images we made from photos by A. Omer Karamollaoglu (CC BY 2.0) and Alexis Lours (CC BY 4.0). Field of view and zoom are simulated from this unit's 256×192 sensor and 25 mm lens, 4× base magnification and 1920×1080 screen. Real results change with weather, display and settings.

Thermal, 4K digital night vision and a laser rangefinder in one binocular, with 940nm infrared illumination.
Draco is a 4-in-1 binocular that combines thermal imaging, 4K digital night vision, a laser rangefinder and IR illumination in a body about 600 g class. The 256×192 thermal sensor sits behind a 25 mm lens and a 15 mK NETD detector, with a 1920 × 1080 display. The 940 nm illuminator gives a less visible IR light than 850 nm. Dual-band Wi-Fi streams to the Pixfra app, and you get about 9 hours of runtime with electronic image stabilisation and defog.
Best if you want a less visible IR light and one binocular for thermal, digital night vision and ranging. If you want more thermal detail, look at the 384 or 640 versions.
