The view starts at this unit's own magnification. The further away the animal, and the wider the field of view, the less detail the sensor picks up, until you can tell something warm is there but not what it is. Zooming in makes it bigger, not sharper.

Example image only. Not filmed through this product. Pig and deer stills supplied by HIKMICRO and Nocpix; fox and rabbit are thermal-style images we made from photos by A. Omer Karamollaoglu (CC BY 2.0) and Alexis Lours (CC BY 4.0). Field of view and zoom are simulated from this unit's 384×288 sensor and 25 mm lens, 2× base magnification and 1440×1080 screen. Real results change with weather, display and settings.

A 384×288 thermal monocular with a 25 mm lens and a laser rangefinder built in. Spot it, range it, and put the number in your head.

The Arc is a rugged magnesium-bodied monocular that works for left- and right-handed users. The 25 mm lens is paired with a 384×288 sensor and a 1440 × 1080 OLED eyepiece, and the integrated laser reads to 1,000 m. It runs on a replaceable 18650 battery, so a spare in the pocket keeps you going. It's the lightest-lens option in the Arc line, so it suits scanning at closer range.

Best for hunters who want spotting and ranging in one hand. If you don't need the laser, a Mile 3 will do the scanning for less.

  • Integrated laser rangefinder, up to 1,000 m
  • 1440 × 1080 OLED display
  • Rugged magnesium housing, replaceable 18650 battery
