The view starts at this unit's own magnification. The further away the animal, and the wider the field of view, the less detail the sensor picks up, until you can tell something warm is there but not what it is. Zooming in makes it bigger, not sharper.

Example image only. Not filmed through this product. Pig and deer stills supplied by HIKMICRO and Nocpix; fox and rabbit are thermal-style images we made from photos by A. Omer Karamollaoglu (CC BY 2.0) and Alexis Lours (CC BY 4.0). Field of view and zoom are simulated from this unit's 384×288 sensor and 19 mm lens, 1.5× base magnification and 1600×1200 screen. Real results change with weather, display and settings.

The OMNI L19R puts a thermal channel and an 8K digital day/night channel into one proper binocular-style body. Spot heat with the thermal, hit one button, and you're looking at the same scene in full colour detail through the digital side. Add a 1,000 m laser rangefinder and you've got scanning, ID and ranging covered without swapping devices.

TWO CHANNELS, ONE BUTTON

Thermal side runs Nocpix's own 384×288, 12μm sensor with NETD ≤15mK at 50Hz behind a 19mm F0.9 lens, with 1.5–12× magnification and a wide 24.3 m field of view at 100 m. That's built for close-to-mid range scanning, where a wide view matters more than reach. Detection range is rated at 980 m on a 1.7 m target.

Digital side uses an 8K sensor behind a 50mm F1.8 lens, with 3–18× magnification. More pixels means detail holds up better when you zoom in, so you can tell what you're looking at, not just that something's there. Three image modes (Daylight, Twilight and Low-Light) are switched manually to suit the light.

IR FOR FULL DARK

Two detachable IR emitters come with it: 850nm for more brightness and range, or 940nm when you want to stay low-profile. They unscrew by hand, no tools needed.

EASY TO DRIVE

Focus ring sits underneath where your fingers already are, there's a digital zoom ring, and it's run from four buttons. Zoom steps in 0.5× increments instead of the usual 2× jumps, and electronic image stabilisation kicks in from 1×, so the picture stays steadier when you're handholding.

POWER AND BUILD

Built-in battery plus two swappable 18650s, up to 7.5 hours rated run time. The battery compartment is polarity-free, so you can swap cells in the dark without checking which way they go in. Magnesium-alloy housing, anti-slip grip, IP67 rated, and a built-in tripod mount for long sits.

CONNECTED

Bluetooth links to the Nocpix App for sharing photos and video, 64GB onboard memory, and a built-in mic for recording. The 12mm exit pupil and 0.5" 1600×1200 AMOLED display make it easy on the eyes over a long session.
