Real thermal footage of warthogs, shown in each palette. Palettes only change the colours; the heat data is the same.

- Magnification
- What you can tell
The view starts at this unit's own magnification. The further away the animal, and the wider the field of view, the less detail the sensor picks up, until you can tell something warm is there but not what it is. Zooming in makes it bigger, not sharper.
- Magnification
- Sharpness
Digital zoom crops the sensor image and enlarges what is left. It adds no detail, so each step makes the picture bigger but softer.
Example image only. Not filmed through this product. Pig and deer stills supplied by HIKMICRO and Nocpix; fox and rabbit are thermal-style images we made from photos by A. Omer Karamollaoglu (CC BY 2.0) and Alexis Lours (CC BY 4.0). Field of view and zoom are simulated from this unit's 640×480 sensor and 50 mm lens, 3.5× base magnification and 1024×768 screen. Real results change with weather, display and settings.

Pulsar Telos XG50: 50 mm lens, 640×480 sensor, no rangefinder
A handheld thermal monocular for scanning big country. The 50 mm lens and 640×480 sensor give it a 2300 m detection range, and with no laser rangefinder it stays light and simple.
A sharp thermal picture
The 640×480, 12 µm sensor has a system NETD below 20 mK, so warm bodies stand out cleanly from cold backgrounds. The 50 mm F1.0 lens gives a 3.5× base magnification and a narrow 8.8° field of view, with smooth zoom from 3.5× to 14×. The 1024×768 AMOLED display has a 14 mm eye relief and a ±4/−5 diopter adjustment.
Made for the field
The body is IPX7 rated and works from −25 to +40 °C. A swappable LPS7i battery pack (6400 mAh) runs for up to 8.5 hours, and USB-C charging works from a power bank. Take photos and video to 64 GB of built-in memory and stream them to the Stream Vision 2 app over Wi-Fi.
Other features
- 9 colour palettes
- 3 calibration modes and 3 sensitivity levels
- Stadiametric rangefinder for estimating distance
