There are four Stellar 4.0 scopes, but you're really making two choices: a 640 or 1280 sensor, and rings or a rail. Most of the spec sheet is shared. Here's how the four line up, with the specs and prices straight off our product pages.
All four are on pre-order. Order now and we'll ship when stock lands.
Layby's available on every one: put down a deposit to secure it, then pay it off in instalments of any amount, whenever you like.

Each pair costs the same, so this one's about glass and mounting, not budget.

What's the same on all four
The L and LR versions share the same core, so none of this changes between models:
- Thermal sensitivity under 12 mK NETD, 50 Hz, 12 µm pixels
- 1.03" AMOLED display at 2560×2560
- Ballistic calculator, 5 zeroing profiles and freeze zeroing
- Rated to 6000 J of recoil
- IP67, working from −30 °C to 55 °C
- 64 GB onboard, with video, photo, audio and recoil-activated recording
- 55 mm eye relief and 8 mm exit pupil
- Two internal batteries plus one swappable 18650, charging over USB-C
Three questions that sort it out
How far are your shots?
If most of them are inside 200 m, the 50 mm SQ50 does the job and keeps $4,000 in your pocket. If you want to confirm what you're looking at well past that, the 75 mm SX75 gives you a bigger, wider picture: 12.1° × 9.7° against 8.8° × 7.0°, and a rated detection range of 3,600 m against 2,600 m.
How's it mounting?
The L models run a standard 30 mm tube and sit in normal rings. The LR models are the rail-mount versions and go straight onto a rail instead. Centre height is 36 mm on the SQ50 and 41 mm on the SX75, and the LR models weigh 65 g more than their L twins. Check your rings or rail before you order. If you're not sure, ask us.
How long are your nights?
The SQ50 runs up to 9.5 hours with the rangefinder on. The SX75 runs up to 7 hours. Either way, the 18650 is swappable.
Which one suits you
Suits: fox, pig and deer hunters who want a 640 scope with ranging built in, in standard rings, the lightest of the four, with up to 9.5 hours of runtime.
Look elsewhere if: you often want to identify targets a long way out. The 75 mm reaches further.
Suits: the same hunter as the SQ50L, with a rail on the rifle instead of rings.
Look elsewhere if: you're running rings. Grab the SQ50L instead.
Suits: serious long-range shooters who want the best picture of the four, with the rangefinder tucked inside the objective lens, in standard rings.
Look elsewhere if: most of your shots are inside 200 m, or runtime matters more than resolution. It's up to 7 hours against 9.5.
Suits: the same shooter as the SX75L, on a rail. It's the heaviest of the four at 1,140 g.
Look elsewhere if: you're running rings. The SX75L is the one.
Pre-order and layby
None of the four is on our shelf yet, so each one's a pre-order: order now and we'll ship when it lands. You can put any of them on layby too: pay a deposit to secure it, then pay off the balance in instalments of any amount, whenever you like.
Stuck between two? Tell us the rifle, the mount and how far you shoot, and we'll point you to the right one. Call us on 1300 486 444 or use the Ask a question link on any product page.
Prices in AUD and specs as shown on our product pages on 28 October 2026. Detection range is a rated figure, so treat it as the upper end rather than a promise for every night.
