Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 FFP EBR-7C MOA
The Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 FFP EBR-7C MOA is designed to hand an unfair advantage to shooters who seek to keep the upper hand in every situation, from close quarters to long-range shots. This updated favourite blends precision, reliability, and expedition-ready features to help you stay on target no matter the conditions. With the illuminated reticle, highly functional hold points, and a first focal plane design, your holdovers and windage corrections stay in proportion as you zoom from 5x to 25x, giving you confidence at all distances.
Core optical performance is built around modern glass and coatings that maximize light transmission and image clarity. The EBR-7C hash-marked reticle offers precise ranging, holdover, and windage references, and it can be used with either MOA or MRAD subtensions depending on your preferred turret and reticle setup. The reticle is glass-etched and protected between two layers of glass for durability, while the illumination is designed to help you acquire targets quickly in low-light scenarios. The combination of an illuminated reticle and a first focal plane (FFP) design means you’ll see the same subtension relationships at any magnification, which is essential for accurate ranging and dialing, shot after shot.
Optical clarity is achieved with XD Lens Elements, which use Extra Low Dispersion glass to improve resolution and color fidelity. Paired with XR Fully Multi-Coated optics, the system delivers higher light transmission across all surfaces, reducing reflections and producing brighter, crisper images even when lighting is challenging. These coatings protect every air-to-glass interface, while the glass maintains color neutrality and edge-to-edge sharpness. Whether you’re glassing for a hunt, a competition, or a tactical scenario, you’ll notice the crisp detail and minimal distortion that help you identify hold points without eye fatigue.
Construction and durability are engineered for real-world use. The scope features a robust 30 mm tube that provides greater strength and wider adjustment latitude compared to a smaller alternative, all housed in a single-piece tube for superior alignment, rigidity, and water resistance. Built from aircraft-grade aluminum, the scope is designed to withstand recoil, impact, and the rigors of field use. The exterior benefits from a hard-anodized, low-glare matte finish, helping you stay concealed in various environments. ArmorTek coating adds an ultra-hard, scratch-resistant layer to exterior lenses, protecting them from scratches, oil, and dirt that can degrade clarity over time.
Environmental sealing is a priority. The Viper PST Gen II is waterproof thanks to O-ring seals that prevent moisture, dust, and debris from penetrating the riflescope, and it is fogproof due to argon gas purging to minimize internal fogging across a wide range of temperatures. The result is reliable performance in rain, humidity, cold, or dusty terrain. The rugged design is complemented by shockproof construction to withstand the bumps and jolts typical of field use or competition stages.
Ease of use and field practicality are enhanced by several thoughtful features. Tactical-style exposed turrets provide fast, readable elevation and windage adjustments, and the Radius Bar offers a highly visible tactile reference for turret rotations, helping you track your settings at a glance. The internal mechanism is designed for repeatability and smooth operation, including the RZR Zero Stop that prevents dialing below the sight-in range, a Precision Force Spring System for consistent erector action, and a Precision Glide Erector System to maintain smooth magnification changes even under harsh conditions. These components work together to deliver precise tracking and repeatable performance shot after shot.
For quick target acquisition and reticle focus, the Fast Focus Eyepiece lets you quickly sharpen the reticle image to your eye, ensuring you don’t waste precious seconds adjusting your sight picture in the field or at the range. The combination of a 30 mm tube, a one-piece design, and the combination of outstanding coatings and rugged materials creates a scope that is not only precise but also dependable across a wide variety of shooting disciplines.
