Vortex Viper PST 1-6X24 MOA VMR-2

Vortex Viper PST 1-6X24 MOA VMR-2 delivers an unfair advantage for shooters who demand reliability from close quarters to long-range targets. This updated favorite keeps the upper hand with a cleanly integrated illumination dial in the side focus adjustment knob, placing the light control exactly where you need it for rapid adaptations in changing light. The result is a compact optic that stays fast, intuitive, and incredibly precise when every shot counts.

The reticle is built for real-world performance with the VMR-2 MOA hash-marked subtensions. Designed for ranging, holdover, and windage corrections, it provides highly functional, intuitive hold points that remain uncluttered for optimal viewing. The system includes 10 illumination levels with off positions between each, ensuring a fast return to your previous brightness setting in any lighting condition. This illumination is especially valuable in dawn, dusk, or shaded environments where precise aiming can make the difference between a miss and a clean hit.

Optically, the Viper PST 1-6X24 leverages XR Lens Coatings—Vortex’s proprietary anti-reflection coatings that boost light transmission across all air-to-glass surfaces. Combined with XD Lens Elements, which use extra-low-dispersion glass to improve resolution, color, and contrast, the sight delivers sharp, high-contrast images even in low-light situations. The Second Focal Plane reticle maintains a consistent perceived size as you zoom, which means your holdover points stay accurate and predictable from 1x to 6x magnification.

Illuminated Reticle visibility further enhances performance under suboptimal light, helping you keep your target in clear focus when lighting fades. All of these elements work together to provide reliable performance without clutter, so you can quickly acquire targets and maintain situational awareness in dynamic shooting scenarios.

Constructed to endure harsh environments, this optic features a precision-engineered 30 mm tube and a one-piece body that maximize strength and water resistance. Crafted from aircraft-grade aluminum, it offers fatigue resistance and dependable durability for rugged field use. The design is rugged yet refined, with a hard-anodized finish that reduces glare and resists wear, while ArmorTek provides an ultra-hard, scratch-resistant coating to shield exterior lenses from scratches, oil, and dirt. Waterproof optics with O-ring seals, fogproof interiors filled with argon gas, and shockproof construction ensure reliable performance under recoil, rapid fire, or adverse weather conditions.

The internal mechanism is built for precision and repeatability. A Precision Force Spring System uses premium components in the erector spring to ensure consistent, smooth adjustments, while the Precision Glide Erector System keeps zoom changes predictable and fluid even in demanding environments. The Fast Focus Eyepiece enables quick, intuitive reticle focus, so you can bring your target into sharp view without losing your hold on the scene.

Built for accuracy, the VMR-2 reticle and its MOA-based subtensions align with fast, repeatable shooting. The scope’s matching MOA turrets and reticle design help shooters estimate range, hold over, and wind drift with confidence. The combination of a second focal plane reticle and the illuminated reticle ensures that you can estimate distance and compensate for wind while maintaining a clear sight picture at any magnification.
