Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 BDC PA 30mm Riflescope
The Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 BDC PA 30mm riflescope is engineered to shrug off recoil, moisture and darkness, delivering dependable performance when it matters most. This premium long-range riflescope brings together advanced optics and rugged engineering to help you hit your targets with confidence in varying light and weather conditions. Whether you’re glassing for predators, dialing in precision for varmint shooting, or sharpening your long-range target skills, the Viper stands up to the challenge with class-leading clarity.
Designed to maximize light transmission and image fidelity, the Viper features premium, fully multi-coated optics with XR lens coatings that elevate brightness across the entire field of view. With 95 percent light transmission, you’ll enjoy brighter, crisper images from first light to last. The XD lens elements reduce chromatic aberration for sharper resolution, vibrant color, and improved contrast—critical when identifying subtle contrasts at extended distances. Together, these optical innovations deliver a sharp, high-contrast sight picture, helping you make confident holds and precise windage adjustments at distance.
Constructed for reliability in the harshest environments, the Viper sits on a rugged 30 mm tube, offering greater windage and elevation travel and stronger overall construction than comparable one-inch designs. The one-piece tube enhances rigidity and water resistance, while aircraft-grade aluminum ensures fatigue resistance for repeated use in the field. The result is a riflescope you can rely on during long hunts or demanding precision shooting sessions, with the durability to withstand recoil and rough handling without compromising optical performance.
At the heart of the Viper is a purpose-built reticle system and turret mechanism that simplify field adjustments and holdovers. The Dead-Hold BDC Reticle (MOA) uses a customized hash mark design to help you estimate holdover and windage corrections quickly, reducing guesswork in variable ranges. This reticle is especially helpful when shooting at varying distances where precise holdover calculations are essential for accuracy. The reticle design, combined with a generous eye relief and bright optics, keeps your target in view even when light is changing or you’re shooting at longer ranges.
Beyond optics, the Viper includes refined mechanical systems for smooth, repeatable adjustments under challenging conditions. The Precision Force Spring System uses premium components in the erector spring to maximize repeatability and ease of adjustment—so you can reliably dial in elevation and windage with light, consistent torque. The Precision Glide Erector System ensures the zoom mechanism moves smoothly across the magnification range, maintaining a stable optical alignment for reliable tracking as you switch from 6.5x to 20x. The combination of these systems translates to predictable, repeatable performance shot after shot.
The Viper is designed for ease of rapid adjustments in the field. The MAG View Bar provides quick, intuitive magnification changes even in cold weather or when wearing gloves. The Tall Target Turrets offer precise windage and elevation adjustments with a large, visible reference, while the Quick Reset Turrets enable fast re-indexing back to zero after sight-in with fingers alone—no tools required. A Fast Focus Eyepiece allows you to quickly sharpen the reticle for your eye and shooting distance, ensuring you maintain a crisp sight picture as light conditions shift.
Additional design touches further support accuracy and versatility in a wide range of hunting and shooting scenarios. Side Parallax adjustment helps fine-tune focus to minimize parallax error, especially critical when shooting at different distances or from varying shooting positions. The scope is waterproof, thanks to O-ring seals, and fogproof, with argon gas filling to prevent internal fogging—so your image remains clear from dawn to dusk and in damp or humid environments. Altogether, these features deliver a robust platform well-suited to long-range hunting, predator control, varmint shooting, and precision target work.
