Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8X24 AR-BDC3 — Versatile AR Optic for Fast Target Acquisition
Meet the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8X24 AR-BDC3, a versatile AR optic engineered for fast targets and precise long-range shots. With a true 1x on the low end and crisp 8x magnification, this scope lets you react rapidly up close while dialing in accurate shots at distance. The AR-BDC3 reticle is tuned for common 5.56 loads, delivering holdover and range references from 0 to 650 yards so you stay on target from the moment you acquire a sight picture to the final follow-through.
Designed to streamline AR shooting, the Strike Eagle combines rapid target acquisition with precise aiming in all lighting. The illuminated reticle provides reliable aiming under low-light conditions, while the second focal plane reticle maintains a consistent appearance as you zoom. When you’re moving through a dynamic field, you won’t be guessing where your reticle sits—the subtensions are calibrated to deliver accurate range estimation, wind holdover, and precise lead corrections at the highest magnification.
Durability and rugged performance are built in. The Strike Eagle features ArmorTek ultra-hard, scratch-resistant coating to protect exterior lenses from scratches, oil, and dirt. It’s shockproof to withstand recoil and impact, waterproof to IPX7 standards, and fogproof thanks to nitrogen gas purging, ensuring clear glass across a wide range of temperatures. The optic is constructed from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum, using a single-piece tube that maximizes alignment for improved accuracy and strength. The matte anodized finish reduces glare and helps you stay concealed in the field.
For practical versatility, this optic includes a fast focus eyepiece for quick reticle focusing and a throw lever that can be installed for rapid magnification changes. The 30 mm tube diameter provides robust internal adjustment and strength, while the lightweight build keeps your rifle balanced for quick handling and steady shooting. The illuminated AR-BDC3 reticle is glass-etched and protected between two layers of glass for enhanced durability and reliability in any condition.
The AR-BDC3 reticle is specifically tuned to the ballistic performance of common 5.56 loads. The design features a precise 1 MOA center dot for pinpoint aiming and an 18 MOA horseshoe surrounding the center to draw your eye toward the target quickly for fast engagement. The BDC references keep you on target out to about 650 yards, helping you estimate holdover and wind drift without sacrificing speed when the action heats up.
