Vortex Viper HD 5-25x50 SFP VMR-3 MRAD Riflescope
The Vortex Viper HD 5-25x50 SFP VMR-3 MRAD riflescope delivers razor-sharp visibility and unparalleled versatility for hunters who demand precision at every stage of the hunt. When success rides on the perfect shot, this scope proves its worth across diverse applications—from predator control to big-game pursuit, across river bottoms and into alpine ridges. Built for serious field use, the Viper HD family offers rugged durability, extraordinary image clarity, and edge-to-edge sharpness that help your target come into view with crisp detail in both bright and dim light.
At the core of the Viper HD is the HD Optical System, optimized with select glass elements to minimize chromatic aberration and maximize color fidelity, resolution, and light transmission. This yields bright, high-contrast images with true-to-life colors and minimal halo, so you can distinguish terrain features, distance, and game silhouettes with confidence—even when the light is scarce at dawn or dusk.
Equally important is the Illuminated Reticle, designed to provide precise aiming under low-light conditions. With gradual illumination control, you can maintain a clean sight picture as ambient light fades, helping you keep sight of the reticle and holdover points without sacrificing image clarity. This feature is especially valuable when optics need to stay fast and responsive in transitional lighting or in dense cover where every fraction of a second matters.
Designed for practical field use, the scope features a 30mm Main Tube for increased travel within the elevation and windage ranges. This larger tube size supports more elevation adjustments and a more robust mechanical structure, enhancing reliability during long-range scenarios and heavy recoil shots. The rugged construction pairs with high-precision tolerances to ensure consistent tracking from dawn patrols to late-evening glassing sessions.
From a hunter’s perspective, the combination of performance and durability is amplified by a suite of user-friendly features. The Exposed Locking Elevation Turret locks to prevent accidental adjustments, while providing fast, accurate, and easily read elevation changes when you need to tune your zero or compensate for range. In tandem with this, the RevStop Zero System guarantees a rock-solid return to zero after turret adjustments. This means you can trust your holdovers and reticle references when you pull the trigger after a long shot, which is invaluable on demanding terrains where wind and distance shift quickly.
The Viper HD also wears a suite of protective and performance-enhancing technologies. The Fully Multi-Coated Lenses employ anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces to maximize light transmission and minimize glare, delivering clearer, brighter images across the entire magnification range. The exterior is treated with ArmorTek, a super-hard coating that resists scratches, oil, and dirt, preserving clarity and reducing maintenance in rugged environments. Argon Gas Purged interiors further guarantee fogproof and waterproof performance by sealing against moisture and temperature changes, so you stay focused on the hunt rather than the weather.
A practical advantage for fast target acquisition is the Fast Focus Eyepiece, which lets you quickly dial in reticle focus to your eyes and eyes to the target. Constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum and using a single-piece tube, the scope provides exceptional strength, rigidity, and alignment accuracy—attributes that translate to dependable performance in recoil-heavy calibers and challenging field conditions. The low-glare matte black anodize finish helps reduce reflections and blends into surroundings, helping you stay concealed during early morning or late evening hunts.
