Roll over to zoom
Real thermal footage of warthogs, shown in each palette. Palettes only change the colours; the heat data is the same.

- What you can tell
The view starts at this unit's own magnification. The further away the animal, and the wider the field of view, the less detail the sensor picks up, until you can tell something warm is there but not what it is. Zooming in makes it bigger, not sharper.

- Sharpness
Digital zoom crops the sensor image and enlarges what is left. It adds no detail, so each step makes the picture bigger but softer.
Example image only. Not filmed through this product. Pig and deer stills supplied by HIKMICRO and Nocpix; fox and rabbit are thermal-style images we made from photos by A. Omer Karamollaoglu (CC BY 2.0) and Alexis Lours (CC BY 4.0). Field of view and zoom are simulated from typical specs (640×512 sensor, 35 mm lens) because this product's specs are not on file. Real results change with weather, display and settings.

Need: Higher-capability Leap thermal riflescope with LRF for demanding engagement ID.
Consider: L12R vs L6R/L3R by sensor needs. Spotting stays on a monocular; this optic is for the shot.

For serious night hunters, darkness isn’t a limitation — it’s an advantage. And now, that advantage just became clearer than ever. Introducing the RIX L12R, a professional-grade 1280×1024 thermal riflescope built for hunters who demand uncompromising clarity, precision, and confidence after dark. Whether you’re tracking wild hogs through dense timber or scanning open fields for coyotes, the L12R ensures no detail goes unnoticed.
Powered by a 1280×1024 high-resolution thermal sensor, the L12R delivers four times the pixel count of standard scopes—turning darkness into clear, confident target identification. Combined with a 2560×2560 AMOLED round display, it feels just like shooting with a day scope. This thermal riflescope is engineered for those who hunt at night, allowing you to spot your targets effortlessly.
Imagine the thrill of identifying game in total darkness with astounding clarity. The L12R features extreme thermal sensitivity with a NETD of < 15mK, detecting even the slightest temperature differences. This means that even in humid wetlands, fog, or rain, the L12R keeps targets clear and well-defined. No more guessing—just precise identification and engagement.
Unlike digital zoom that degrades image quality, the L12R offers true continuous optical zoom (2.0× – 6.0×), preserving clarity across all magnifications. The AI-powered RET Technology enhances edge definition and contrast, ensuring that you can identify your targets with confidence. Plus, the integrated laser rangefinder measures distances up to 1,312 yards, making every shot count with real-time ballistic calculations for instant corrected aiming points.
Designed to withstand harsh weather, rough terrain, and long nights, the L12R combines a dual battery system with up to 6.5 hours of continuous runtime, durable metal lens protection, and an intuitive 3-knob + 2-button interface. It’s built for the hunt and engineered to perform when reliability and precision are paramount.
