Which type suits how you hunt
If it's going on a rifle, you want a thermal scope. If you'd rather scan the paddock before you lift the rifle, a thermal monocular is the better tool. Got a day scope you already like? A thermal clip-on fits in front of it.
Thermal reads heat, so animals show up in grass and scrub. A digital night vision scope costs less, but it needs a bit of light or an IR torch to work well. Pick based on where you hunt and how far you shoot.
