The view starts at this unit's own magnification. The further away the animal, and the wider the field of view, the less detail the sensor picks up, until you can tell something warm is there but not what it is. Zooming in makes it bigger, not sharper.

Example image only. Not filmed through this product. Pig and deer stills supplied by HIKMICRO and Nocpix; fox and rabbit are thermal-style images we made from photos by A. Yeah….nah

I’m an early adopter so was really keen for this to be good. Its a great idea but the quality of the sensor really lets it down. Then again for just $1200 what do you expect? If it had a 384 sensor it could be very good indeed. For driving it towns its fine, but you have headlights and eyeballs for that and the ns7 is merely a distraction that beeps a lot. In paddocks on shoots, my objective the sensors just isn’t upto it. If they upgrade it with a 384 sensor i’d be very interested.
